Our Programs

Welcome to Still River Music. Our programs aim to spark a lasting movement of musical rediscovery, elevating music as a cultural force that unites people and nurtures the human spirit.

We celebrate the enduring relevance of rich and varied musical traditions throughout history. Our programming seeks to build meaning, relationship, and understanding through music as it is performed, heard, and contemplated. We are especially interested in challenging the boundaries between "performer" and "audience" and crafting musical experiences that bridge contrasting repertoires and styles.

Sleight return

Our sponsored band focuses on multi-genre collective improvisation and creative expression. We play a repertoire of cultivated and vernacular music from the past 400 years, updating its relevance for modern audiences while maintaining the spirit of the original works.

Still River chamber Music Society

Our Chamber Music Society presents a mix of traditional and innovative performances. Many of our events challenge the boundaries between "performer" and "audience" in intentionally crafted programs that bridge contrasting repertoires and styles.

We provide resources for performance, education, and research efforts to foster a sense of community among scholars and performers.
