The Mission
Our mission is to move people with meaningful music. We reimagine musical traditions from the past and present, bringing powerful works to modern audiences through performances, recordings, and scholarly engagement. We aim to spark a lasting movement of musical rediscovery, locally and globally, elevating music as a cultural force that unites people and nurtures the human spirit.
The Music
We celebrate the enduring relevance of rich and varied musical traditions throughout history. Our programming seeks to build meaning, relationship, and understanding through music as it is performed, heard, and contemplated. One of our priorities is to challenge the boundaries between "performer" and "audience" and crafting musical experiences that bridge contrasting repertoires and styles.​

About Still River
Still River is a branch of the Nashua River, flowing past the village of Still River in the town of Harvard, Massachusetts. Settled in the late 1600s as a pastoral farming community, Harvard has a notable history of religious and social activism: One of the earliest Shaker communities in the US was founded here, and Harvard was also the site of an experimental 19th century commune organized by Bronson Alcott – father of famed author Louisa May Alcott.
